Oxnard, Calif. — Scosche launched its first waterproof Bluetooth speaker and its smallest ruggedized Bluetooth speaker to date.

The waterproof BoomBottle H20 and the BoomBottle Mini are portable mono speakers available in gray, blue and yellow at $99 and $49, respectively, at Scosche.com. They will be available at Walmart, Barnes & Noble, Cellular Sales, West Marine and other retailers shortly, the company said.

The 5-watt BoomBottle H20 features IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating, enabling it to withstand submersion in up to 3.3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. It features an up-firing 50mm driver, passive woofer, and integrated music controls that enable consumers to play and pause tracks stored on a Bluetooth-equipped smartphone, tablet or computer as well as skip forward/backward.

The speaker delivers up to 11 hours of continuous playback with its rechargeable battery, and its shape enables it to fit in water bottle cages and cup holders. It also floats.

Other ruggedized Bluetooth speakers from Scosche are weatherproof but not waterproof, a spokesman said.

The 3-watt BoomBottle Mini features a 40mm up-firing driver, passive woofer, and IPX4 weatherproof rating. Its rechargeable battery delivers 10 hours of playback time. It also comes with integrated music controls.

Both speakers also feature 3.5mm aux in.
